When your mind won’t switch off.
Counselling for constant worry, overthinking, a racing heart and the feeling that something bad is about to happen.

Anxiety is the body’s alarm system doing its job — too loudly, too often. It can look like lying awake running through every worst case, avoiding calls or crowds, a tight chest before work, or needing everything to be perfect so nothing can go wrong.
Many people live with anxiety for years because they are still functioning. They get to work, look after everyone, and keep going — while feeling exhausted and on edge inside. You don’t have to wait until you can’t cope to ask for support.
In counselling we work on two levels: practical tools to calm the body and interrupt spiralling thoughts, and a deeper understanding of where the anxiety comes from — often old experiences that taught you the world wasn’t safe.
Anxiety can feel like
- Constant worry or overthinking
- A racing heart, tight chest or shallow breathing
- Trouble falling or staying asleep
- Irritability or feeling on edge
- Avoiding situations that make you nervous
- Needing reassurance or control
You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out.

Common questions
Is my anxiety bad enough for counselling?
If it is affecting your sleep, work, relationships or enjoyment of life, it is worth talking about. You don’t need to be in crisis.
Can counselling help without medication?
Many people find counselling helpful on its own; others use it alongside medication prescribed by a doctor or psychiatrist. We can work with either.
Do you have a free tool for anxious moments?
Yes — our free anxiety support tool offers guided breathing and grounding steps you can use on your phone.
